The Thurrock School Sports Association (TSSA) is funded by all local primary and secondary schools.  The aim of the association is to promote and develop school sport in the Borough.

Sports that the TSSA funds:

1. Primary & Secondary Quad Kids, Athletics, Cross Country & Sportshall athletics
2. Primary High 5 Netball/Secondary Netball Rallies and League
3. Primary & Secondary Football for Girls and Boys
4. Primary Tag Rugby
5. Primary Dynamo Cricket
6. Primary & Secondary Rounders
7. Primary & Secondary Basketball
8. Primary Dodgeball
9. Dance Show
10. Primary Gymnastics
11. Primary Swimming Gala
12. Primary SEN including Boccia and Kurling
13. Primary Archery
14. Primary & Secondary District Football teams
15. Secondary District Athletics & Cross Country Teams

Each year, all schools contribute towards this fund by paying 50p per child on roll.
